The Spit This is a 5km walk that goes around the airport property. You can begin the walk in the north point of town, to the left of the airport. Once you have gone around the Airport, you will be across the street from the Golf Course. Island Otter Cottage is just down the street on your left.	Dover Trail This is a lovely forest hike, about 3km long. You can begin the hike across the last bridge out of town, just past the marina. This is a harder hike, you must climb over down trees, and it is a steep climb up the hill, then back down.
Onward Point This is a quick walk, about 1km. You must drive half way to the ferry landing, about 5km out of town past marina. You will see a pullout on your right, in the arch of a large turn in the road.	Around the Pond This is connected to the Onward point trail. about half way around the walk there are white diamonds nailed to the trees. they lead you around the hill and across the highway to a lovely forest walk, it zig zags thru the forest in endless easily walked paths, all clearly marked.
Quarry Loop Once again, this trail is accessed from the onward point trail parking lot. This time once you are parked you cross the highway to the right side to power pole number 79, this is the head of the trail! It cuts back through the bush, to an old logging road where you then make your way back thru the bush, almost back to where you started.
